HUMAN TRAFFICKING: A MAJOR CONCERN
At Colour this year, one of the major concerns highlighted again was the issue of HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
We know that thousands of women and girls within the Sisterhood are already involved at some level. Many are praying diligently through The Prayer Map, and the effect is being powerfully felt. Many are raising awareness, which is that critical first step to solution. Many are partnering at some level with A21... and because of that prevention, rescue and justice is happening. It's only been three short years but miraculous progress has been made because we are realizing that "together" we can make a difference.
With this in mind, we have made June a global COLOUR SISTERHOOD focus month with regards to human trafficking!
If you bought a Colour Sisterhood calendar this year, you will see beautiful Renee with our WALK FOR FREEDOM gift t-shirt and boots slung over her shoulder. these t-shirts are not restricted to this one justice cause alone, but JUNE is our perfect opportunity to UNITE SOME STRENGTH & PRAYER into this campaign against trafficking.
YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
There are many ways you can get involved during this month and we definitely do not want to limit you in your creativity, but here are a few ideas to get you started:
- 30 Days of prayer- Each day in the month of June, we'll be focusing our prayer on a different issue of human trafficking. These will be available on our website each day, along with daily updates on twitter (follow us @COLOURsistahood). Break out your WALK FOR FREEDOM T-shirt and walk and pray with us.

- Sponsor a girl through A21
- If you have not already picked a country from The Prayer Map – perhaps this month you can find a country that you are passionate about, download the fact sheet and pray against trafficking across one of the borders.
