"Hi to both our own Hillsong girls around the globe and to any who tend to pop in on these blogs and posts. If you love the spirit of what is happening amongst God's girls worldwide, then you will love Sarah's excitement... the CHICK THING is about to go to a 'whole nutha level'". Love, Bobbie
Miss Sisterhood
So, to say "I'm pretty excited about September 29th" would be a HUGE understatement! I'm not just excited... I'm jumping off the walls, running round in circles, doing silly dances and am seriously overwhelmed with so much expectation that my heart could explode! Over dramatic? Maybe? Hmmmm...I don't think so, because I know that the 29th of September holds great significance for the lives of countless young girls and women in our city and beyond - and that's reason to get excited.
You may have heard of the "Knitting Sisterhood", you may have even heard of "Petite Sisterhood", but we want to introduce to you for the first time ever... [Drum roll please]... "MISS SISTERHOOD!!!"
So, why "Miss Sisterhood"?

Young girls are more than pretty faces. They are tender, intelligent and spirited. They are navigating a season of life that is fun and free but at times can also be challenging as they figure out who they are and what their life is all about. I have found that so many of these girls are hungry to belong and desire that their life would count and make a difference.
In saying all of that, we absolutely need the young girls in our world to get the revelation that THEY ARE SISTERHOOD and that 'the Message' of Sisterhood is 'their Message' and 'the Mandate' of Sisterhood is 'their Mandate'. We so desire that they would come to know that there is a God in heaven who believes in them and a company of women also. I have to say, that as this revelation becomes a reality in their lives I just know that these young girls will be a breathtaking, unstoppable force who will passionately go about seeing the plans and purposes of God outworked in their world - whether that be at school, netball, dance, work, with friends or at home.
So...We will be launching "Miss Sisterhood" at Hillsong Sisterhood on the morning of September 29th and I want to encourage you, if you have a daughter, a niece, a friend, a friends daughter or if you know any girl who is in Years 5-12 at school (10-17yr olds) do whatever it takes to get them to Sisterhood that morning...especially if that young girl is YOU reading this blog right now. The morning will be full of youthful surprises!
Can you see why I'm so excited? :) Can't wait to see you there!
Much Love
Sarah Khiroya
