Be careful what your appetite is attached to because, when you get hungry, you will be starving for what feeds you!
Exodus 16:2 In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. 3 The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the Lord's hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death."
The Israelites had their hunger attached to Egypt.
Egypt is the place they complained about their harsh treatment as slaves.
Slave pain was no match for hunger pain.
The Israelites would rather be back in slavery than free and hungry!
Wind the clock forward and Jesus is out in the desert for a similar amount of time and the Devil tries to use His appetite against Him.
Jesus reveals His appetite in His answer — "man does not live on bread alone but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
Its important to know what you have appetite for because you are probably headed in the direction of your Hunger Pains!
